Module 8 - CNC course & training
Drill
What types of solid carbide drills are there, what effect flute profiles, internal cooling, coatings, what drilling depths can be realized?
In addition to these questions, guidelines for use and cutting data are shown. Straight and spiral fluted solid carbide drills and deep hole drilling with spiralized solid carbide drills are dealt with.
A training chapter is also dedicated to drilling tools with exchangeable solid carbide drill tips and available cutting geometries. The second big point is drilling with indexable inserts.
Functionality, cutting materials and types of insert drills are shown. Which drilling depths can currently be realized? How important is cooling here? Statements are made on cutting data and power consumption, sample calculations are carried out and special systems are presented. At the end of the module there is again troubleshooting to make implementation and application easier in practice.
