Cutting materials

After an overview of the cutting materials in machining and their development history from the beginnings such as "WIDIA" to CVD diamonds, the structure, properties, areas of application, conditions of use, advantages and disadvantages of carbide, cermet, cutting ceramics, cubic boron nitride, polycrystalline, monocrystalline and CVD diamond explained. The questions are answered: What are the requirements for cutting materials today? Where is the development going? How can you implement the latest knowledge at short notice in your daily work? How do I choose the right cutting material for the respective machining case and the respective material?
